Project Overview

This project was part of a large-scale eLearning initiative focused on engineering education, specifically targeting the subject of Electrical Engineering Materials. I played a dual role as both Content Developer and Project Manager, overseeing end-to-end development – from writing structured learning material to interface design and delivery.

Initially launched using Flash templates, the project evolved over time into a fully responsive web-based learning module, reflecting changing tech standards and learner expectations.

My Contribution

1. Content Development

  • Authored module breakdowns for core topics like Transformers, Conductors, Insulators, Semiconductors, and more.

  • Created learning flows, quizzes, and module-based problem-solving activities.

  • Collaborated with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy.

2. UI Design & Interface Migration

  • Led the visual redesign of the entire module interface to move away from Flash-based static screens.

  • Designed a clean, responsive layout optimized for student engagement and structured progression.

  • Used illustrations and simplified vector graphics to make learning more intuitive.

3. Project Management

  • Managed a small internal team including developers, content editors, and visual designers.

  • Ensured timely delivery of each unit by creating detailed schedules and feedback loops.

  • Communicated with stakeholders regularly for review cycles and improvements.

Challenges

  • Migrating from Flash to web while retaining interactivity and flow.

  • Limited technical documentation from the early phase.

  • Ensuring accuracy and engagement in an otherwise theory-heavy subject.

Outcome

The module became part of a larger learning system adopted by institutions for internal engineering training. It received positive feedback for its clean layout, intuitive flow, and conceptual clarity – especially for complex topics like Transformer construction and material classifications.

More than 120,000 learners enrolled across various platforms during its run.
